Founder, Body Ecology
Author of The Baby Boomer Diet:
Body Ecology’s Guide To Growing Younger

Donna Gates’ mission is to change the way the world eats. Over the past 25 years, Donna has become one of the most loved and respected authorities in the field of digestive health, diet, and nutrition, enjoying a worldwide reputation as an expert in anti-aging, weight loss, autism, autoimmune diseases, candida, and adrenal fatigue.

Frustrated with her own health issues and lack of relief from conventional medicine, Donna embarked on a long course of study into many different healing concepts, including ancient Chinese medicine, macrobiotics, natural hygiene, raw foods and mega-supplement therapy. Incorporating the most beneficial components of each concept into her own system of health and healing, Body Ecology™ was created and her personal success inspired her to share it with others. Donna is a nutritional consultant, author, lecturer, home economist and founder of Body Ecology™, Inc., a leading nutrition company. She is the author of Body Ecology Diet: Recovering Your Health and Rebuilding Your Immunity, a revolutionary system of healing that she created in response to the major deficiencies she saw in medicine and the commonplace approach to treating symptoms while ignoring root causes. It is the first of its kind. Filling the void, the diet--sugar-free, gluten-free, and probiotic rich--was adopted by doctors and health practitioners alike, who recommend it to their patients and clients. Donna has certified hundreds of “Body Ecologists” who passionately spread her teachings throughout the United States, Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand.  The Body Ecology Diet: Recovering Your Health and Rebuilding Your Immunity has sold nearly a quarter of a million copies and a newly revised edition is now available through Hay House.

Donna's groundbreaking work has been instrumental in transforming the natural foods industry. As a key figure in the autism movement, Donna works with top doctors in the field who view her diet as instrumental in changing the theory behind and treatment of the disorder. She founded Body Ecology Diet Recovering Our Kids (BEDROK), an active online community of over 2,000 parents, many of who have seen their children in full recovery.  www.bedrokcommunity.org

Donna Gates is 65, pain and wrinkle free, and has no need to color her hair!

The Baby Boomer Diet, (Hay House, October, 2011), is expected to revolutionize the way we think about aging. For more information, please visit www.bodyecology.com

Alli WebbALLI WEBB
Co-Founder and President
Drybar

Alli attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and began her career in fashion working for designer Nicole Miller in New York City in 1994. After securing the licensing rights for Nicole Miller in Florida with her brother Michael Landau, she returned to her hometown of Boca Raton to open her own Nicole Miller boutiques in Boca Raton and Miami. The stores were a huge success and among the highest grossing in the nation. In 1996, they were sold to a private investor and Alli left fashion retailing to pursue her true passion – hair styling. Alli trained under the expert tutelage of John Peters and Toni & Guy to become a professional hair stylist. She then spent the next several years honing her skills working for the late, great John Sahag. The self-proclaimed “curly-girl” was always in search of a quality coiffeur for her own hair but was unimpressed by the available options – an overpriced blowout at an expensive salon or a less than fabulous experience at a discount chain.

After leaving the professional hair workforce in 2005 to start a family, she decided to find a way to continue the creative side of hair styling at a “new-mom” pace. Alli offered in-home weekly blowout services for friends, but her “side business” quickly grew into more than a part-time gig. The business exploded strictly with referrals from her loyal clients, which lead Webb to the natural decision to open a physical “blow dry bar” location. Drybar, the exclusive all-style, no-attitude, high-design shop is the first of its kind in Los Angeles.

The first Drybar location opened in Los Angeles in February 2010 and since then has expanded to an additional seven locations in Southern California, Arizona and Texas. 2011 expansion plans include San Francisco, New York, Chicago and London. For more information visit www.thedrybar.com.
